About Marjorie

Hi, I'm Marjorie Hunt. For over a decade, I've had the privilege of caring for older adults here in Maine. First as a Registered Nurse and for the past seven years as an Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner.

Working in hospitals, nursing homes, and memory care units taught me that this work is all about relationships. Every patient and family I've met has shaped how I practice, and that connection fuels my commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.

My passion for dementia care is both professional and deeply personal. Long before I understood the complexities of dementia, I watched a loved one change and felt the helplessness of not having answers or guidance through a confusing system.

That's why I founded Maine Dementia Partners. Too often, families receive a diagnosis with little support for what comes next. Dementia requires constantly evolving approaches, and each person's journey is unique. I'm here to fill that gap by offering the knowledge, strategies, and support families need to navigate this path with confidence and dignity.

I believe in whole-person care that honors who someone has always been, even as the disease changes how they engage with the world. Because we are more than just our bodies, our souls need support too.
